Every now and then a project comes along that truly blows our minds. Today, we’d like to share one such project. Stéphane Quillet is a Rebelway alumni who crafted one of the coolest student projects that we’ve ever seen come out of one of our courses.
He created the project with the help of our Advanced Houdini FX – Rise course. Here’s the project along with an interview about how he crafted such an incredible FX masterpiece.
Thank you. I was inspired by the Rise Project in the Advanced Houdini FX course. One day, I woke up with this concept, I didn’t think about it so much and I just did it.
It took about 3 weeks to create. I worked on Houdini during the day, and every night I launched a couple of wedges simulations.
My computer crashed a lot. So, I bought a new CPU (Threadripper 3990X ) and 2 graphics cards (RTX 3090) to fasten the process of simulations and rendering with Redshift
I’m kind of a crazy workaholic. So my advice would be to do the following:
